1. Zero tolerance for abusive spam
linkshrtn may not be used to create, conceal, distribute, or measure links for abusive unsolicited communications. This includes unsolicited bulk email, SMS, messaging-app spam, social-media spam, comment spam, forum spam, repeated direct messages, and deceptive affiliate promotion.
2. Prohibited destinations and behavior
We prohibit links connected to phishing, credential theft, malware, ransomware, fraudulent redirects, impersonation, scams, deceptive landing pages, illegal content, or attempts to cloak a harmful destination. Users may not rotate aliases, accounts, subdomains, or redirect chains to evade review, blocklists, rate limits, or a prior suspension.
Automated creation that overwhelms the service, enables bot abuse, mass-produces deceptive links, or disregards consent and messaging laws is prohibited. A recipient’s publication of contact information does not by itself establish consent to bulk messaging.
3. Affiliate and promotional links
Legitimate affiliate links may be shortened only when the underlying promotion is lawful, transparent, non-deceptive, and sent to an audience with an appropriate relationship or consent. Repeated unsolicited affiliate promotion, misleading claims, hidden commercial identity, and traffic manipulation are prohibited.
4. Enforcement
We may disable a link, block its destination domain, restrict creation, suspend or terminate an account, and preserve relevant records when we reasonably believe this policy has been violated. Severe or urgent threats may be acted on without advance notice. We may use destination validation, rate limits, user suspension, link suspension, domain blocklisting, contact reports, and service logs to investigate misuse.
5. Reports and investigations
Report suspected abuse to info@linkshrtn.com. Include the complete linkshrtn URL, where you encountered it, why it appears abusive, and any safe supporting information. Do not send malware or sensitive stolen data. We may acknowledge a report, request clarification, inspect the redirect and account history, coordinate with hosting or security providers, and take proportionate action. Privacy and security obligations may limit the details we can share about an investigation.
6. Repeat offenders and lawful requests
Repeated violations may lead to permanent account termination and broader destination blocking. Where appropriate and lawful, we may cooperate with valid legal requests, competent authorities, hosting providers, or affected services. We evaluate requests for proper scope and authority and disclose only what is lawfully required or necessary to address an urgent risk.
7. Good-faith errors and appeals
If you believe a link was restricted in error, contact us with the link, account email, intended use, and relevant context. We may restore access where the risk is resolved, but restoration is not guaranteed. Attempts to evade a restriction while it is under review are a separate violation.
